Cambridge Chemistry Department Crystallographic Repository

Most crystallographic data is never published. This project has developed a strategy and software to make it cost-effective to capture and retrieve "old" data sets and to make them widely available for re-use. In the Chemistry Department at Cambridge we have captured the 3000 crystallographic structures determined over 10 years by John Davies and colleagues. The project has been sponsored by Bill Jones, HOD, by supporting two students (Lee Harper and Daniel Hagon) for 2 months (summer 2008).

We have not yet opened up the full set of public data and an example of a few structures is shown in the repository for Bill Jones.
